Most people can take a good strike to the body or legs and remain standing, but a good strike to the head and you are probably down for the count! HOW TO BLOCK BODY LEVEL – SELF DEFENCE AND HOW TO WIN A FIGHT

Body blows can be dangerous and painful if they strike effectively at organs or solar-plexus. If you can’t evade the strike by movement alone, then blocking it should either deflect or weaken the effect of the blow. Different self defence blocking techniques can be deployed depending on the style of martial art and the situation at that moment.
